Utah is home to some of the most productive trout fly-fishing waters in the west. That may come as a surprise to some of you, but for those who have sampled Utah’s trout rivers, trout lakes and trout streams they’re hoping you don’t discover what they have come to know. Since 1986 Western Rivers Flyfisher has been guiding the  fly-fishing  angler to Utah’s most notable streams; Provo River and Green River,  and not so well known fly-fishing waters.

Two of Utah’s great trout rivers that we guide rival any of the west’s most heralded fly-fishing trout streams; the Green River and Provo River. These two great trout fishing rivers represent the cornerstones to Utah fly-fishing. Somewhat off the beaten path lay a number of lesser known gems in their own right. These wild trout fisheries require a little more time to get to, but that extra distance far removed from city life is what makes these waters so special.

Our fishing guides and Western Rivers Flyfisher recognize that fly-fishing has much more to offer than just catching fish. That is what we attempt to bring out in a day on the water with our service. The wildlife and scenic beauty of Utah’s diverse trout country are unique. That’s as important to us as your fly-fishing success. Not every day is a twenty-fish or for that matter ten fish day, but we recognize days spent fishing with a fly rod should be rewarding and enjoyable regardless of what’s brought to hand. After all, that’s why they call it fishing.

The Green River and Provo River provide us with tremendously consistent fly-fishing, yet similar to any popular western trout fishery, they can be fairly crowded throughout most of the trout fishing season. Our Fly Shop and our trout fishing guides recognize this. In an effort to provide you the best nymph fishing and dry fly fishing opportunities possible, we will travel the extra miles necessary to get you to one of Utah’s other great trout fishing streams. It may mean a little less fishing time, but the quality of the experience will make up for this minor inconvenience.

Western Rivers Flyfisher is centrally located to Utah’s best fly-fishing waters; trout rivers, streams, and creeks that produce excellent fly-fishing opportunities as a result of their prolific hatches. Like many of Utah and the west's great trout fishing waters these smaller fisheries are abundant in Mayflies, Caddisflies, Midges and Stoneflies throughout most of the trout fishing season. Intimately knowing these hatches, the appropriate flies and the subtleties of these trout streams is what we enjoy and do best. Days spent casting a fly on one of a number of these remote and wild trout fisheries is certainly one of the more rewarding fishing experiences you can have when in Utah.

We specialize in guided trips to trout rivers in the Northeast corner of Utah. These are wade fishing only trips due to the size and nature of these smaller waters. Although some have easy access and excellent wade fishing opportunities, others require a little more effort to get to the more productive waters. Lunch, beverages and all the personal instruction you'll need to make your day a success are included with a full day of fishing. Not included are flies, licenses, rentals and gratuity. If you don't have the opportunity to meet at the Fly Shop or stop by prior to your guided trip, you can phone in an order and we can ship any equipment or items you'll need for your day of fishing.

Not included in our trips are flies, equipment or fishing license. Should you need equipment we have rod and wader rentals. We also have for purchase all the necessary fly-fishing equipment, flies and accessories you may need for a day on the Provo River or any of our Utah fly-fishing waters.

One other option is the Full Deal. Should you want us to provide everything for your Guided Fly-fishing Trip this trip is designed for you. Included in the Full Deal is; transportation, lunch, beverages, flies, rentals and a daily license. Rates for this trip are as follows.
