We are proud to announce that Matt Drahos will be running a beginning Fly Tying class. In this class we will do a comprehensive overveiw of fly tying for a beginners and will focus on the flies that you will be using this summer. We will cover all of the skills necessary to get you fly boxes full of the hot summer flies. We will focus on a different style of fly each night- nymphs, dries, wets, and streamers. We will discuss a bit about the entomology of the insects we are making, with emphasis on why and how to fish the flies right. We will tie different stages of the insects (caddis, mayflies, etc.) we see on local waters with tips on becoming a better angler as we tie.. We will tie flies that are appropriate for the season- tie them up and you can fish them the very next day! Please email Western Rivers Flyfisher (info@wrflyfisher.com) or call Matt Drahos @ (801)-521-6424 with any questions. We will provide all the tying supplies for the class, and students don't need there own gear to participate. If you have your own gear you should bring it with, getting familiar with your own equipment is very recommended.
