We are once again offering our Early Season Fly-FishingClass for 2013! This March fly-fishing class is geared towards one thing: Getting you out on the water to experience Utah's early season fly-fishing opportunities. Although our winter and early season fly-fishing isn't as much of a secret as it used to be, you can still bet on having a productive day out on the water, and more solitude than about any other time of the year. How is this possbible? Well, due to all of the reservoirs in our state, we have a number of tailwater fisheries that never fully freeze. This means that we have good trout stream fishing year-round, and when your timing is right, winter midge hatches that can create the best dry fly-fishing of the year.
The class will highlight local fisheries, fly patterns, reading water, gear, and techniques. It will be taught over two sessions; The first class will be in the evening at Western Rivers Flyfisher, and the second will be held on the Middle Provo River; one of the wests best early season fisheries. Here you'll be shown the tactics we use to have success fishing this productive time of year.
As with all of our classes,a non-refundable 50% deposit is needed to ensure your spot, and this class will be limited to six students. We limit our class sizes to best optimize your experience, and once we are on the water to minimizing our impact on our fellow flyfishers and fisheries. In other words, sign-up soon! To sign-up for this class, you can call, (801)521-6424 the shop and we can take a credit card over the phone, or stop in.
